Who Gives A Crap (WGAC) is an Australian social enterprise founded in 2012, dedicated to providing access to clean water and toilets globally. They achieve this by producing and selling eco-friendly toilet paper, tissues, and paper towels made from 100% recycled fibers or bamboo, avoiding virgin trees. A core tenet of their business model is donating 50% of their profits to sanitation projects worldwide. So far, they’ve contributed over $18 million AUD (roughly $12.5 million USD) to fund sanitation projects around the globe. Certified as a B Corporation with a recent score of 125.5, WGAC is recognized for its high environmental and social impact. The company famously launched with a crowdfunding campaign where CEO Simon Griffiths sat on a toilet for 50 hours. They have hubs in Australia, the Philippines, China, the US, UK and Europe, with a team of 200+.
